Barron Collier Companies Reveals New Look
Barron Collier Companies, one of Southwest Florida’s largest and oldest diversified companies with interests in real estate, agriculture, and minerals, revealed a brand relaunch with the debut of its new website look at www.barroncollier.com. The time-honored company, with roots tracing back to Collier County founder Barron Gift Collier, worked with Milesbrand agency, Vectra Digital and The CMO To Go to create a refreshed brand image connecting the company legacy and vision to its modern-day customer experience.
“We really started from scratch,” comments Blake Gable, CEO of Barron Collier Companies and fourth-generation Collier family member. “We took it back to our roots, to the visionary himself, Barron Gift Collier. He embodies the entrepreneurial spirit that carries through our organization today and we wanted to highlight that.” Collier made his first Florida real estate investment in 1911 with the purchase of Useppa Island, which graces the inside cover of the new company brochure and establishes the rich history of the company. From there, Collier invested in more land and quickly became the largest private landowner in Florida; however, it was more than just his passion for accumulating real estate that put Collier on the map. He is known for many business “firsts,” as documented in the new website’s legacy page. He invented the yellow line that divides public streets, was a founding member of Interpol, and started the first newspaper, telephone company, and power company in Collier County, just to name a few.
“It was important to share Barron Gift Collier’s accomplishments in the new branding,” adds Andrea McLendon, owner of The CMO To Go, and brand manager for the project. “Those achievements served as a launchpad for the refreshed brand, showing how one man’s spirit can carry on through generations.” Barron Collier Companies continues to develop real estate and create new businesses, several of which are detailed on the new website. Visitors to the website can peruse a portfolio of real estate holdings, read about related services and businesses, discover the company’s ongoing environmental stewardship, and get a glimpse into the philanthropic impact of Barron Collier Jr Foundation.
“Time and iterations change companies. It’s only natural. So to find one with the hopeful ideals and optimistic values of a historic, American business icon at heart—continuing to inspire the company—is rare. It makes it an honor and joy to work with Barron Collier Companies, and play a role in telling their story, and having a front-row seat in what’s to come,” comments Milesbrand.
What’s to come is exactly what Barron Collier Companies wanted to share in the forward-thinking logo and new branding. The newly styled logo features five vertical pillars that evoke several interpretations including the linear embodiment of a generational timeline, representation of real estate development, and a symbol for the team members that make up Barron Collier Companies as a whole. As the company expands geographically, visitors will be able to view new real estate holdings and projects on the website. Social media feeds are updated in real-time and a company culture blog focuses on employee stories, charitable giving, and behind-the-scenes fun in the organization.
“Oftentimes it can be challenging to describe to someone all the various aspects that makeup Barron Collier Companies,” adds Gable. “We are highly diversified, and our history is rich. I believe by elevating the website and engaging the public, we can truly tell the entire story that is Barron Collier Companies, then, now, and moving forward.”
