Barron Collier Companies Named Title Sponsor for Naples Half Marathon
NAPLES, FL., — December 28, 2021— Barron Collier Companies has been named the new title sponsor for the Naples Half Marathon. The half marathon will be named the Barron Collier Companies Naples Half Marathon. The half marathon dates to 1989 and highlights the heart of downtown Naples and its surroundings. The 2022 race will be held on Sunday, January 16, 2022.
“Barron Collier Companies promotes health and wellness as part of our company culture and sponsoring the popular Naples half marathon is a natural outward extension of our commitment to activities that encourage physical fitness,” comments Stephen Massie, chair of the health and wellness committee at Barron Collier Companies, and ten-year race participant. Priscylla Oliva Gomez, the co-chair of the committee, adds “This will be my first time running the Naples Half Marathon. Physically challenging myself to run this race was daunting at first, but with so much encouragement from my teammates at work, it made the process enjoyable and that much more rewarding.”
Barron Collier Companies will partner with Gulf Coast Runners to host the half marathon with cash prizes awarded in several categories. Barron Collier Companies’ support will also benefit youth scholarships given by Gulf Coast Runners through the Gulf Coast Runner Youth Development and Scholarship Fund. The half marathon is a USATF Sanctioned Event drawing runners from all over the nation.
