BARRON COLLIER COMPANIES ANNOUNCES NEW MEMBERS TO ITS BOARD OF DIRECTORS

 

NAPLES, FL., — August 17, 2022 — Barron Collier Companies announces the addition of two members to its Board of Directors, Jonathan Reckford, Chief Executive Officer of Habitat for Humanity International, and Barron Collier IV, a fourth-generation family member.

Jonathan Reckford, Chief Executive Officer of Habitat for Humanity International, was appointed via a Shareholder nomination. “With Jonathan’s expertise as the CEO for Habitat for Humanity International, an organization which helped over four million people obtain new or improved housing in 70 countries, we know he is an incredible asset to our team. Our new, in addition to our current members, will continue to support our mission of building community, creating value and commitment to excellence,” said Jack Cecil, Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Barron Collier IV is a fourth-generation family member and was appointed via a Shareholder nomination. “Our board is a mix of family members and outside board members. This provides us with a well-rounded perspective that continues to guide our organization in a successful and legacy-driven direction,” said Cecil. 

The new Board members filled the positions of Phil Clemens and Barry Collier III who both resigned from the Board. Phil Clemens served as an Independent Director from June 2014 to June 2022. Phil is the retired Chairman and family ambassador to the Clemens Family Corporation and has dedicated countless hours on several local and national boards. Barry Collier III has been on the Board since 1981. During his tenure he served as Chairman of the Board and President of Barron Collier Companies from 1993 to 1996, a family member Director from 1997 to 2013, Chairman of the Board from March 2013 to May 2018, and a family member Director from May 2018 to June 2022.
