Founded more than a century ago, Barron Collier Companies (BCC) embraces its accomplished history while always keeping an eye on the future. Tradition and innovation go hand in hand, especially evident in the most recent re-envisioning of the company’s headquarters. BCC proudly unveils the transformation of its main Naples office showcasing its commitment to both its legacy and mission.
“Continuing to invest in our employees is key to Barron Collier Companies’ success. Throughout the renovation process, there was a lot of work internally and externally to make this vision a reality and I thank everyone involved,” said CEO Blake Gable.
The new headquarters isn’t just about aesthetics or modernization; but about redefining the workplace experience. With an emphasis on fostering collaboration, creativity, and community, the renovated space features dedicated areas for department breakout sessions, social gatherings, wellness breaks and most importantly, corporate meetings. These spaces are designed to facilitate not only work-related discussions but also opportunities for employees to connect on a personal level, all the while fostering a sense of belonging.
“This project was more than blueprints, color swatches and knocking down walls. It was the opportunity to craft an environment where success can be a daily reality for our employees when they are working in their new offices,” said lead project manager, Dave Dunnavant.
But this renovation isn’t just about the present workforce—it’s about serving generations to come. By investing in a workspace that prioritizes flexibility and adaptability, BCC is ensuring future employees will thrive in an environment that meets their evolving needs. Whether it’s the latest technology brought in by the Information Technology team or ergonomic design features proposed by Human Resources, every aspect of the new headquarters is geared towards creating a supportive and inspiring work environment.
One interesting feature is every conference room has a dedicated name and theme. The largest conference space is known as the Useppa Board Room, since namesake Barron Gift Collier’s first Florida land purchase was Useppa Island in 1911.
Landscape architecture also came into play, designed by Peninsula Engineering’s Steve Sammons who strategically plotted colorful native plants to decorate the grounds.
“Every shrub, tree and plant selected were chosen to emphasize our new office headquarters green spaces,” he said. “For instance, our state is home to sixteen native species of bromeliads, so these plants now line our parking lot beds in pinks and vibrant greens since they’re so commonly seen in Naples yards and outdoor public areas.”
Moreover, a commitment to sustainability shines through in this project. From energy-efficient lighting to eco-friendly materials, every design and construction effort has been made with specific goals in mind. BCC recognizes space planning and interior design by Heather Grey of G2 Studios, OFCD Commercial Interiors for office furniture, Surety Construction for subcontracting, and O’Donnell Landscaping and Gulfscapes Landscape Management Services for scenic installation.
As BCC unveils its refreshed look, the message is clear: tradition may be the foundation, but innovation is the path forward. By creating a workplace that honors the past while embracing the future, BCC sets the stage for continued growth, both for the company and the community it serves.
